Quick and Easy RSS Feeds Guide Review
Whenever you visit my blog, you undoubtedly see the Subscribe link in the upper right hand corner. This is a link to my RSS feeds, which stands for “Rich Site Summary” or “Really Simple Syndication”. Some of you may be unfamiliar with this, so I decided to take the time to make a handy and quick little guide to help those of you who may not know RSS feeds.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary, and like a magazine or newspaper, it’s a way to supply you with a list of current news items in a brief format so you can scan headlines and choose the items that interest you most. All without visiting the Web sites that publish them. That is, until you want to read the entire article. To do this you just click on the headline like any normal link on a Web site. Since news headlines come to you instead of the other way around, RSS is referred to as content distribution or syndication.
Your Privacy is Guaranteed
I assure you that I will never do anything with your email address like sell or distribute it to ferocious, nasty spammers. As an email subscriber, you have the right to end your subscription at any time, but you won’t want to anyway, because it’s a great way to receive content updates straight from Jessica Who?.
Why Do You Need to Subscribe?
Strictly speaking, you may not have the chance to visit my blog every single day and therefore the next time you come back there may be several new posts. By subscribing to the feed, you can see each headline and article summary quickly and easily, without any clutter. If you subscribe to email updates as well, these feed headlines will be delivered straight to your inbox. As a bonus, you will receive a free copy of my e-book entitled “15 Steps to Better Crossdressing“.
Does This Cost Money?
You may be thinking that there is a fee associated with this, but indeed subscribing to my RSS feed and email updates is completely free and always will be.
Questions?
I understand that when you first get started using RSS, it may seem to be a bit of a mystery. Or, you may be thinking “How will using RSS improve my overall Web experience?” I think that once you get over the hurdle of using RSS feeds this will become readily apparent. If you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to leave a comment or shoot me an email, I will be happy to explain anything.
